Maybe your life is what I need sometimes
You took the most and best of anyone
You said to “keep me in your pocket”
So I carried you
You better choose your words carefully
Because I’m not your anything
Gonna stay here in my place
And you’ll stay in yours because
Your only good is what you’re good for
I pace around the room to spend the time
Waiting while the burning pictures fade
Want a thing to make you mine
And another to say it’s fine
I could never be the one that you want, don’t ask.
Well, here’s to living in the moment
‘Cause it passed, it passed.

Now I know I’ve been annoying as hell in the past with promoting which ever band I was in that current week. I always found myself more concerned about making this a career that I lost sight of the real reason I create music and the real reason that people listen to it.
As corny as this sounds, this band has really been a music saver for me. When writing becomes a job and money is the motive, I feel like a lot of people subject themselves to writing what they think others want and have no personal connection to whats real.
The Old Line is a bunch of friends creating the music we’ve always wanted to. Self written, produced and recorded. I’m happy to say this is the music I’ve always wanted to write and every member in this group has grown musically to create something we are all connected to. These songs mean a lot to all of us and are something I personally am proud of. I’m writing music for the right reasons again.
